If I hook up my Gaming PC to my 1366x768 resolution TV with HDMI, would the games still be good quality?

a 1080p would be better, 720p won't look very good and you won't get true potential out of your pc

Well, by 'TV,' i'm thinking... 32" and up, So..
the graphics-quality of the games is definitely not going to look its best. The optimal (best-looking, best-feel) is min. 1080p
I prefer up-ing Resolution more than anything (i.e. Quality)

That being said, 1366x768 is an OK-resolution and should do your gaming-PC justice.

And, 4K is sort-of overkill unless you have a 55" 4K TV that is at most 3.5ft away from.

Hope this helps.

So basically I just have to get a full HD TV for a game to look as good as on my monitor?

If you have to invest in a new TV, yes.
If you already have a 1366x768 TV… try it out and invest in a FULL HD TV if you aren't comfortable with the res.

Resolution > Quality (IMHO)

but at 768 could could increase the settings and AA, and go from high to ultra for instance. Why not just try it and see what it looks like?

If you sit at TV distance (far-ish away) there's really not much difference from 768p to 1080p.
If you sit close, 1080p is certainly better.

Buying new I'd always go 1080p, but if I already had a 768p screen and was happy with the color quality, I wouldn't change it just for resolution.
