PC build for video editing.

Hello I've created a pc config wich is focusing on scene cuttings and media rendering (not 3D).

My questions are:
Is the motherboard enough for the CPU?
Can I enjoy with this motherboard the advantages of this CPU? (except overclocking)

CONFIG:
- i7 4790k 4 GHz (+Cooler Master 212 evo)
- ASUS B85M-G
_____________
- PSU Corsair RM550
- GF GTX 650 1GB
- 2x8GB Corsair DDR3 1600MHz
- SSD 250 GB , HDD

Thanks in advance for your help!

The motherboard isn't a good choice when you have an unlocked processor and can overclock. You will need a Z97 Series with the Haswell Refresh CPU and it can be overclocked as well. Don't forget a CPU cooler is needed. Soif you are not overclocking, then tpdint bother the unlocked CPU and get a locked CPU and forget about the CPU cooler I recommended.

For vidoe editing I wouldn't go with just 1GB of 650. Get a Nvidia 750 and above. You could save some money from the SSD and get 120GB and maybe upgrade the GPU.

get a G.Skill Ripjaws X RAM instead of Corsair.

Thanks man! Now im changing the motherboard and the CPU

CPU: i7 4790
Motherboard: ASUS H97-PLUS

Yeah...i know that this graphic card is a little Quasimodo, but now i cant afford to buy a monster card.

I've choosen 250 GB SSD, because ive heard that working with the whole media project on a SSD is faster than doing it on an HDD. What do you think?

That's better. PM me if you need anymore help. Don't mind picking the solution. :D
