what's a good temperature for a i5-4440

Those sound like pretty standard temperatures, you should watch out when it goes above 80ºC, as it can begin overheating, throttling down. I'd recommend if those happen, for you to clean your computer case/heatsink of dust or any other things that might have been caught by.

No! That's the case temp, that's the temperature that is not recommended for your case to be at (I believe? Even if not that's not the max temperature of the processor).

Whoops. It is indeed the maximum temp on the IHS which is the TIM I think? My bad. It is a little weird that Intel wouldn't mention max core temp...

EDIT: In other topics people are recommending a max core temp for Haswell of 70-80 degrees Celsius under stress testing. So you're still fine ;)
