I Need help to choose between these two options

I'm gonna update my motherboard for the second option so, does it worth the extra money?
 
It generally works a little better when both chips are on the same card/board but this is really picking nits. In general they will perform more or less the same.

I hope you do know the limitations of port aggregation and that you need 802.3ad capable switches. This really is only useful on a server that is being access my a large number of users it is seldom useful in a home environment.

I have a render farm of 40 nodes and NETGEAR 48 port managed Gigabit switch which support Link Aggregation
and I need the teaming for my workstation which serves files and receives render output files for the whole network
 


Good to see there are some people who post on this forum that know what they are doing. I see this one all the time from people that think this will make their internet run faster or their NAS run quicker.

The only other restriction is there are some version of windows that do not support this in software so the driver must do it. Just be sure the driver has support. Mostly this is non server version of microsoft OS that need driver support the server versions of microsoft have had support for a long time.

I'm aware of all the restrictions
the first option GA-Z87X-UD5H have support for NICs teaming regarding the OS
and the second option needs to setup windows server
which is the best on the hardware level and considering the cost
 
You are way to far into the hardware details for me to be sure. This quickly gets into the discussion of how many PCI bus lines you have and such.

I can't say with a render farm. Almost all installation I have done with a server that had aggregated ports for capacity was generally bottlenecked by the disk drives well before we hit any limitations in the network. Most the more modern servers that I have been involved with installing use 10g ports if they have need for high capacity networks. Lately I only see requests for port aggregation for a high speed network redundancy solution.

I am going to bet if you have a server that can actually push close to 2g of data you would be best off spending the money for a 10g nic card and a switch that supports 10g ports. I have never used the cheap 10g switches but you can get a completely switch for what we used to pay just for the 10g optical modules just a few years ago.

I don't have disk drive bottleneck because I'm using an SSD to serve the project files to the nods and to receive the rendered frames from it
