Hi. I'm here, because i've ran out of ideas. My PC was working for almost a year. My problem started 3 weeks ago. It's freezing with audio loop every few hours. Sometimes it's 3h, sometimes 10. Usually it happens while gaming, but not always. My screen turns to some random solid colour. I have to reboot. My motherboard gives me a single beep. Now i thought it was a memory problem, so i changed it, but it didn't help. I did a clean install of windows. I ruled out overheating. I believe it works longer after system reinstall, or even nvidia driver reinstall, but i'm not sure about it. My hdd is fine, and so is my SSD.

My pc:
Motherboard: MSI Z87-GD64 gaming
cpu: i5 4670k
gpu: Gigabyte GTX 780
RAM: Kingston HyperX Genesis
PSU: Antec EarthWatts EA750 750W i think

Thanks in advance.

Solution

You must have the stock Intel CPU cooler. DO NOT do anything that will run CPU temp up to 100*C. Max while stress testing should be 90*C.

Try taking out the GB GTX 780 GPU and run for a while on the Intel Integrated GPU. If the problem persists on the IGPU, then you may have a bad mobo or bad CPU. If problem goes away, suspect a bad GPU.

I get 45° in bios. I was stress testing it in OCCT, and it reached 100°, but never froze. And i think never reached 90 while gaming.

Solution
Your CPU should be at 40C max on idle, 55C max gaming and 70C max stress testing.

Blow out your case with compressed air to get rid of built bup dust - especially fans, filters and coolers.

Get rid of any CPU overclock. Bump up your cpu fan speed.

What cpu cooler have you got?

55 while gaming? Impossible on a stock cooler, which I have. :D Now... before I changed my RAM it was freezing no matter what I was doing. But now I realized it's only freezing in battlefield 4. How unlucky would I have to be to have hardware and software break at the same time? :) I'll look into it, and let you know when I make some progress. Thanks
