Hi,

I have an HP Pavilion 141ea desktop pc. It's ok for games, but I read that you can run dual graphics with an hd 6670 since I have an a8-6500 installed. Great! (I thought). I uninstalled the previous graphics card drives (and hd8450 which ran in dual graphics) by going to c:\amd\support\setup.exe , uninstall, express. Then I installed the new graphics card. Although i think that I may have uninstalled ALL drivers, because my keyboard and mouse are no longer doing anything on screen but the screen is showing the log-in. Also, on startup, the pc made 6 or so long beeps and skipped the hp logo on startup so I can't access bios.

Help please!

Thanks,

This seems more to do with the new graphics card than with the driver removal.

Take out the new card and see if it works.

What power supply do you have in your PC? If its the original HP one it is likely you will not have enough power for you new card.

I thought you had an A8 apu? There should be a video connector on the back of the motherboard as well as on the old HD8450. Regardless, take out the new graphics card, put the old one in and see if it boots OK.

300w will not be enough for your new card I expect as it will be a poor quality 300w too

I do, but there is plastic on the back blocking the motherboard video ports and I do not have the correct screwdriver at the moment to get it out. I put the old gpu in and the pc is still unresponsive
