Hi guys,

im not a rig expert here but im trying to build my gaming rig that i'm expecting to run mmorpgs which are graphics intensive like tera online, or black dessert. Maybe games like assassin's creed four or gta 4 or even nba 2k14. I just want it to run smooth, no hiccups and then no lag. I don't need to max out the fps or to overclock the speeds. i don't need anything fancy. i would greatly appreciate your opinions and maybe some more recommendations.

CPU-:i5-4460
MB: Gigabyte GA-H81M-S2PH
RAM: Crucial 4gb 1600mhz
HDD: Toshiba 500GB 7200rpm SATA
PSU:antec VP-450p 450w
GPU: either r7 250 or gtx 650 ti.

what do you guys think. this is all under 500$ which i get from this country that i'm in.

Hoping for your feedback,

-Heinrich

I wouldn't go with 4GB. Get either a Seagate Barracuda HDD or WD Caviar Blue HDD.

The 650Ti is only slightly better.

thanks joeteoh99! noted on that 4gb. im planning to get another 4 gig stick somewhere along the way but if i can squeez it in real good, imma go for 8. and im not really looking for a very large storage as i delete games when im done with them. Will try and get the seagate then, since its much cheaper. How about the video cards.. will both of them at least give a good run on battlefield 4?

Yes it will run Battlefield on Ultra at maybe around 40FPS.

wow! that's decent, isnt it? well just a last few concerns. The screen that i will be using is a 23 inch one. but of course i would like to run the games in 1080 if possible. would that mean that i should go for the 2gb version of the r7 250/260/265 or gtx 650/650x ti?. (and if you can educate me with how the size of the video cards would affect the sxren display, it would be great, and also what brands of gpu would you recommend. they said i should stay away from zotac.)

For brands of GPU and specially for Nvidia, Asus then MSI then Gigabyte.

For AMD, Sapphire, Asus.

The size doesn't matter much but the bandwidth to render the images. Some are faster than others making it more expensive. The 650Ti is better because it has faster bandwidth and like all Nvidia cards they consume less power.
