Hello, I can't disable the onboard graphics on my computer when I enter the BIOS. I have recently upgraded my Dell XPS 8500 with a GTX 770 and a Corsair RM 650W PSU. Everything is working fine other than I cannot use the GPU because of the onboard graphics, which I cannot disable. My motherboard is just a generic Dell OEM one so I can't really give you it's name, but I have updated the BIOS to the most recent version and still nothing.

Does anybody have any advice on how to change it so my computer uses the GPU or will I have to upgrade the mobo?

Thanks for all responses in advance

Almost always on motherboards with integrated graphics chip, it's disabled automatically when an add-on graphics card is detected.
I've never had to do it manually in my 15 years of fitting add-on graphics cards to various sytems that I've owned, and they all had integrated graphics.

So your 770 may in fact be faulty, not seated properly, or the supplementary 6-pin power connector isn't connected to it.

The 6 pin power connector is connected to it, and it doesn't seem to be faulty because the fans on the card spin up and the lights are green when the system is turned on.
