You choose parts from newegg, but talk about max price in pounds,i assume you live in the UK and look for parts there in that case.

Because of the psu could you even go for sli in the future.
The case really should be picked by you,but maybe you like this one.Others can be adviced.
A ssd for nice boottimes and for the preferred games, also a 1tb hdd.
Also put windows in,just to be sure.

Just look at it and ask questions when you have them.
Others will probably come with their own builds or thoughts about this one.

For cooling paste as said it comes with the cooler.

-This setup works of far!
-Buy a good case with good airflow
-Cases usually come with about two fans, and you can additional fans
-A 650 watt to 750 should be good, 750 may be a little much but it's never bad to go over some
-you need screw drivers. Screws are usually included with the case. You might want an anti-static wrist strap.
-thermal paste usually comes with the CPU almost always, and is sometimes pre-applied

good to hear it's all working so far :) when I started trying to plan it out a couple days ago my mind was boggled at all the different options. will my 4690K come with thermal paste and a big cpu cooler fan thing? also, any particular size of screw driver recommended for my components? thanks.

thanks for replying to my post. Just as a note to anyone else, I don't want recommended builds. I've spent a lot of time planning out this one and where to get the parts cheap so I Lyon want suggestions specific to my build and not my budget. if that makes sense, thanks.

I imagine you cannot buy that monitor from the UK. Make sure to be aware of duty fees; I would personally just purchase all of the parts off of sites like ebuyer and Amazon as you may save some money. Downgrade to an i5-4690k if you aren't doing any heavy multitasking. An anti-static wrist band is optional since it assists you by making sure you will not damage the components (grounding yourself). Also, I would change the power supply to an XFX 650W or 750W or Seasonic 620W/720W power supply. The Corsair CX series will get the job done but they are known to use poor capacitors.

ahh I have heard good things about XFX and SEASONIC. what about my corsair one now? enough watts? i think it's standard level 2 or something which is supposed to be good.

Changed my mind as i couldn't buy the thing through financing. then I re-discovered how much better it was to build my own. :D any new thoughts?
