Hey. I currently own an Acer Aspire X1430 UD30P desktop, with an onboard media card reader.but lately it hasn't been working at all. i had Window 7 at first, was the first time it stopped working, then I upgraded to 8.1 and it worked again for a while, then the machine broke down. I sent it in to get fixed and the repair guy assured me the SD slot still worked. Now i'm back on 7 but it still doesn't work. Can anyone help me with this issue?
Update: It seems the repair guy spoke the truth,The SD card slot worked today, but unfortunately, only briefly. when I reinserted the SD card, it returned to its non functional state. The part is question is a Wistron 56.34004.031 RI744. that's the product number, not sure if it'll be of any help. Please any help that can be given would be most appreciated.
