Hello Tom's Hardware,

I've been living in the States for 7 years and I've built a really expensive system featuring GTX 780 and i5 3570k. But the problem is, I'll be returning back to Turkey in about 10 months and I have no idea how to ship it, I mean the thing is HUGE (HAF 922). And the worst of all? The computer that I've built cost me $1500 where as if I were to build it in Turkey, it would cost me over $2500. So help me, what would be the cheapest and most importantly the SAFEST way to ship my computer via ship or plane?

Thank you for your time!

I'd consider removing the 212 EVO. But the hard drives? Not a problem. How do you think they got from China to your door?
Pricing? No idea.

I'd talk to shipping companies to see their rates concerning price, if you want to ship by sea. Personally I would put it in a wooden crate with tons of bubblewrap/newspaper/etc. Airlines may be able to fly that with you, but you'd have to ask them.

Do you still have the box the case came in? If so, put it in that.
Also, if you have a big air cooler, or a liquid cooling set up, remove that and ship in its own box. Other than that....it should be fine.

Fully built PC's get shipped all over the world, every single day.

I have a CM 212 EVO attached to it, so it shouldn't be a problem right? Thankfully, I do have the case's box but I'm concerned about the HDD because they get broken easily, will that be a problem? Also, how much do you think it will cost to ship it on sea or plane?
