Hello,

Thanks in advance for any help in this regard. Currently I am running an AMD Phenom 9150e with an NVIDIA GeForce 9800GT and I am considering upgrading my GPU to an NVIDIA 750ti. However, I am curious as to whether my CPU would bottleneck this card and to what extent, if so. Any input would be appreciated. Thank you!

i am afraid your processor will definitely bottleneck the card the processor is very old and have a very low clock speed ....and how much bottle necking that's very hard to say but u will experience a lot of bottlenecking that i can say for sure .....

GTX 650 is about all you should bother with.

If you have the 750ti already I would say spend some money on getting a new mobo and cpu i5 or fx 6300 (ish) or get a used phenom 2 as they are expensive new.

I ended up getting the 750ti and I have seen some excellent improvements. However, as I move forward I am curious as to how to determine what mobo to get for my machine. Is there any way to know what mobo I have without opening my case and looking for a physical serial number or other identifier?

Edit: I figured it out. Thanks for the answers.
