Hi!

I want to get a new monitor and upgrade my old Samsung SyncMaster P2250W (the 22", 16:10 with 1680x1050 TN panel).

I decided that I want to go with 24" adn 1080p but I'm not sure about the panel type. TN may be good for gaming but I rarely play fast games like first person shooter, so I think I want better color reproduction and viewing angles.

I narrowed it down to 2 mintors:

Dell U2414H
Iiyama X2483HSU

The Dell is more expensive (i can get it for ~215€ which is the most I'm willing to spend). than the Iiyama (~160€ or 185€ for the one with the better stand). Also, I often read that the Dell has issues with HDMI/DP and the colors are washed out when connected via those ports.

I mainly use my PC for movies/shows, internet, office and gaming (mostly RPGs and action-adventures).

Thanks for any advice in advance!

Not really sure which I should get or if there are better choices for me.

Here are some reviews, the X2483HSU seems to get slightly better scores and costs less. I would recommend getting the model with adjustable stand and pivot.

The color Problem with HDMI is an Nvidia issue, there exists a workaround:
