As the title says i have been having constant GPU spikes all day long, almost nonstop on Idle and light web Browsing. Is this normal??? i have used Process Exsporer to see what is using my GPU and it says i'm only using 1-3% but MSI afterburner is showing crazy spikes nonstop (See Picture). My GPU is a Asus Directcu II r9 280 (Non X). I have not been able to find out what is happening so i'm asking the great community here and see what you think. Thanks in advance everyone.

INFO (IT's bad, I know)

Intel i7 860
Dell Motherbard.
8Gb DDR3
Asus DirectCU II OC R9 280 (Non X)

...Is that a cellphone pic of your PC?

urgh!

PrntScrn ->MsPaint ->Paste->Save->upload to imgur and link here.

But yea,GPU spikes clear up to 100% during light browsing isnt normal. Whats your polling period(when the graphs update, every 1000 Milliseconds, usually)

Set it to 1000 and see if it continues,if it does then its time to take a screen shot(using the above method) of your Running Processes in Windows Task Manager.

Lol Oh man, yes it is a cell phone pic and thank you for showing how to do a screenshot. I had no clue. So the polling was set to 900. I changed it to 1000 and I will check in about a hour and let you know. Just curious what changing that to 1000 would really do. The usage would still be their but Afterburner wouldn't pick them all up cause of changing the time it updates.

Strange..It could be a cryptocurrency virus. Most ive seen start taxing your GPU after 2 minutes of inactivity but i could see intermittent usage to be as effective without alerting the user straight off.

Again you'll want to take a look at all of your running processes and services real close.
