Ive gotten several different answers can someone help. Ive brought a Gigabyte 270x 2GB graphics card and got BF4 free with it my current rig is AMD 4300 4Gb ram 500 GB hard drive windows 7 64 and i know i cant run it.Ive talked to several people about this and was recommended this setup is this good enough to play BF4 on high on solid frames if so what sort of frames.
Possible new rig
Windows 7 64 Ultimate
AMD FX 8320
Gigabyte R9 270x 2GB
8GB Ram
500 GB Hard drive
Please help i really need answers im not a pc expert at all

yes u have a decent build and u can play bf4 at ultra settings with good fps at 1080 p resolutions..and 60+ fps at High settings with no problem :)

So if i upgrade to a AMD FX 8320 and 8GB what frames could i maybe get on high not ulra

Oh no, it will run the game no issue. It will struggle at higher settings, but it will run.

It would be about 60 on high, 45 on ultra with some settings lowered on the 8320. Its hard to tell, as everyone runs it different, but that would be a good bet.

As long as it will run at about 40-45 on high i will be happy not bothered about having ultra.its just i dont want to buy the parts and it does not run at all.At the moment i run BF4 online at 25 fraps but was told because my ram was only 4 gb that was why.Is there going to be a big jump from 4300 to the 8320

Its a bit of both, you could use more ram, but thats not going to increase FPS much, the new processor will have a larger impact.
You should get those frames on those settings fairly easily. Most people who dont know much about computers assume a ram upgrade magically makes your system better, which is true only if you are maxing out the memory.

so i will buy the processor and ram and setup will look like this
Windows 7 64 Ultimate
AMD FX 8320
Gigabyte R9 270x 2GB
8GB Ram
500 GB Hard drive
I can finally play bf4 at good setting and frames. Let me know if theres anything u may think i could change

well you have a decent setup for playing modern games including bf4 no problem .you are good to go u have not mentioned about the psu.....a good 500 watt psu is enough for u ...plus u will aslo need an aftermarket cooler like coolermaster hyper 212 evo for the processor ...

I already have a Corsair CX 600 power supply so it should be alright.I was going to use the fan the CPU comes with

what sort of frmaes should i expect on bf4 on high and on arma 3 on high maybe.Its just my friends have it already so trying to get mine sorted

well for bf4 i have already given u the chart u can expect 60+ fps on high settings ......and Arma 3 is more demanding game so about 40 - 45 fps...

Thanks for all the help really helps as im only been interested in PC gaming for last year so not got alot of knowledge of parts.I have been a console boy for years
