Actually I recommend a 4790k because at 4k with two 290x's there will be a real difference between an i5 and i7. I agree that the 2011 CPU is not needed though.

For 4k, the dual 290x's will be better than these 780ti's because of the Vram.

Oh yeah. I forgot the i7 has an advantage if you're running powerful GPUs. 4930Ks are only good for 3x or 4x SLI/Crossfire
