just bought a used laptop it has windows xp....i am having trouble playing games on facebook.....it will not let me download adobe..... if that is needed

yes adobe flash player is needed for playing games on facebook ..

You can download Adobe Flash from the website here https://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html or if you use the Google Chrome browser it comes with built-in Flash. Flash is needed to interpret ActionScript code that is used to program Flash-based games.

Windows XP is really old now. You should get Windows 7 or 8. Also, you need Adobe Flash Player.
