After windows 8 did an automatic update approx 3 weeks ago my laptop will not start.
I press the power button and the hdd light flashes but it seems like it has not completed the update and is hanging.
The laptop is a HP 6735s and has been running windows 8 for ages with no problems until the update a couple of weeks ago. I have tried various things like.. disconnect battery and power and hold power button down for 30-60 secs and plug back in .. Tried to start whilst holding F8, F5, F11 etc no luck.. Plugged in an external monitor (TV) to see if I could get a display on this but again nothing.
There are no files I can think of on here that are needed so a clean install is a possibility but cant manage this as the cd drive whirs round but cant see what is happening as no screen. Cant change settings in bios as cant access so cant change to boot from cd/usb etc..
Its just sat at the side of me whilst I type this and I can hear the thing but its just laughing at me ?!@* A very expensive paperweight..
Any help would be much appreciated as I am near suicidal... lol
