Hey! I have a pretty good gaming laptop but the problem is the screen is not big enough (17.3")
and i don't find it comfortable so i decided to buy an external monitor with a keyboard.
Would the external 24" monitor have any additional delay after connecting it to my laptop other than the 2ms from the monitor itself? and also what type of cable would be the best to connect it to my laptop? VGA, DVI or HDMI?

Solution
it depends on the laptop output and the monitor input, you should check that out. DVI to HDMI or HDMI to DVI, HDMI to HDMI and DVI to DVI. Just check your laptop's output and monitor inputs... VGA won't give you high resolutions, which i think it should be 1080p, considering it's a new 24"..
