Hi, I am trying to overclock using

Sabertooth 990fx
FX 8350
1x8 GB Crucial Ballistix Sport
PH_TC14PE_BL Cooler

I am trying to get the highest possible performance boost I can
I currently have all the things disabled that you need disabled.

If you overclock FSB but keep everything else close to the same/closest speed as it was stock, will it effect the system performance at all?

For example, if I clock FSB at 300, but lower CPU, NB, HT, and Mem frequencies down to what they were, would it affect my system at all? Or is FSB just a master multiplier frequency that effects everything else?

More about : pure fsb effect performance amd

Fsb is as you described , the base clock. The end results being the same means performance will be the same. Its just a means of getting of there.
