I was wondering how dangerous water cooling is. Obviously if the tubing where to leak in your computer components would get damaged. I assume that prebuilt water coolers are made strong enough so they will never leak. So if I where to buy an H100i or H50 would I have anything to worry about, such as replacing the cooler after (blank) years, or are they just as easy as fan heatsinks?

The AIOs are known to leak occasionally, but judged on a case by case basis Corsair do replace damaged parts.

For CPU water cooling it isn't so much orpf a risk according to the members on the forum sharing with me. But if you want a water cooling system in the computer then there may be a risk of leakage as we all should know. And it's not a price we all can afford but worth for all the overclocking.

Here's one I found that discuses the pros and cons.

H series are not watercooling! not even close, they are hybrid coolers with some risk of leking. If you want water cooling i would advice you to buy a full water system wich can get expensive, or get a good air cooler.
H series can keep your cpu at nice temps but they are very noisy and they have risk of leaking.

Water coolers are pretty reliable and simple to use/install these days. The hoses are designed to live in the confines of the PC case and are flexible enough so they won't kink or leak unless you really boof it and damage them. As far as leaking, under normal conditions and proper use, they won't. Due to their nature, especially closed loop coolers like from Corsair, replacing parts like the radiator, hoses, water block (the part that contacts the CPU) requires an RMA as you can't do it yourself. They make custom setups that you can service, but the mainstream closed loop kits aren't. Installations can be a little tricky sometimes, but if you know what you're doing, you shouldn't have trouble. I'd say no harder than an aftermarket air cooler.

There is liquid in the system, there is a radiaator which the liquid flows through to transfer heat from the liquid to the outside air....ergo, liquid cooling.

Still think they are not watercooling system, at least a true one, they are hybrid ones :)  They have more leaking risks and are worst than buying a full watercooling system. Still they are popular cause they are cheap compared to a normal watercooling system, and they can get ur cpu overclocked high. Still i dont trust H series, ive heard many cases of leaking.
But im sorry if im wrong about not being a true watercooling.
