What are some good companies that are able to recover data off of a dead mechanical harddrive? I've got a drive that is around 10 years old that is no longer functional, there is only one person in my entire province that is able to do it and it will cost $2500 if I send it to him without any guarantee of recovering the data on the drive.
I don't care if I have to ship to the US. I have a feeling there's something around California.
