So, I had both computers die on me and for the past couple months was using an old Macbook Pro with XP....just because we went into an Easy Home and found the perfect computer, an i5 with 6 gb ram geforce 635m 1tb hdd. It was used but playing with it a bit I found it would perfectly fit my needs and as it was $450 outright or 1400 over 88 weeks, we bought it outright. Got it home, applied all the updates, Put adobe CC on it, Bitdefender and generally got it to where I wanted it. Tried to upgrade to windows 8.1...got blocked by Microsoft Commando Defender. Did some searching on answers.microsoft.com and it's something leasing companies put on their systems to ensure payment etc. As I OWN it, I'd love to know how to remove it. I don't have the physical windows 8 disc, but am wondering can I just install by windows 7 64 bit upgrade disc on it? Frustrated as everything works as it should but this. And I don't want it on my system

They put it there, they can remove it.
But for me? I'd completely wipe the drive and reinstall my own OS. No way I'd trust their stuff. No way at all.

Or...take it back, get my money back, and buy from somewhere that doesn't do that in the first place.

I bought it outright. No way would I lease, but it was a good deal to buy outright. IS there an easy way to get it off? OR do I have to go back to them and get them to do it? I'm thinking lost productivity.
