You wouldn't actually "need" a 750W UPS, as that PC shouldn't draw over 500W (unless you heavily overclock it, of course). Around 600W should be enough, if you don't plan on connecting many other devices.

CyberPower makes a wide variety of models designed for PCs, which come with a USB cable and software to monitor it. They are not too expensive either, shouldn't cost much more than 100$ (Something like this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...).

What is your PSU specifically?

That system can run on a high quality 550w, 650w if you're going to be overclocking and giving it a bit of headroom.

UPS are usually rated in VAs and you need enough output capacity for the computer itself, the display and any other accessories you need to remain up and working until you can shut down the computer.

1kVA units may be more expensive but they usually use a more efficient 24V-based designs instead of the smaller UPS' 12V.

BTW, the high-performance batteries in the UPS account for almost half of its cost... a UPS with $80 worth of batteries in it is necessarily going to be somewhat expensive.
