So, I've posted a few threads on here already, but I finally got tired of trying to find good pre-built gaming PC on newegg (or elsewhere) that had ALL the bang for their buck. I just couldn't do it, and accepted If I want the best bang for my buck, I need to custom build. Well, here is the result of 5 hours of research. Hopefully I've done well.

Here is also a text version of the parts. Just incase someone trolls my part list like they did a few forums ago.

Total: $719.57

Tell me, how does this look? Any conflicts, bad parts, or anything like that? I will list some games I play below so you can get an idea of what I need (Bottom of Forum) Does this computer get the "bang for its buck?" What do you think?

Also, you may notice the lack of a Hard Drive. Who needs storage? Lol, just kidding. I've got an SSD in my laptop right now, so I don't need another hard drive.

Also, here are the games that I play often and notice some performance issues. If you would be so kind, tell me, do you think I would have a substancial preformance from my current PC- http://www.asus.com/ROG_ROG/G74SX/specifications/ compared to the one that I just build?

Here are the games in question.

BF4
Crisis 3
Metro Last Light
Rome Total War 2
Mount and Blade:Warband
Crusader Kings 2
Europa Universalis 4
Company of Heroes 1-2

These are the main games I play, and that I do get very annoying performance issues. Everytime I see a youtube Let's play of one of these I weep at how my PC can't run them like theirs. Why world why!?! Haha, anyway, yeah, I have 300 games on my steam, but these are the main "troublemakers" Thoughts?

okey, it looks like a decent build, but I'd go for a more powerfull cpu, seeing as you got for budget I recomend the fx 8320 or 8350.
also, I'm concerned that that CPU cooler will block a memory slot, which isnt a problem seeing as you are using 2x4GB, but in the future if you plan on putting in 2 extra, you might not be able to do it unles you pick another CPU cooler.

I'm not very familiar with AMD GPU's but I think that'll do(I myself use a gforce gtx 760 and it runs bf4 on ultra with a stable 60 fps) the gtx 760 is around 7% better according the the becnhmarks I've seen. so you should be good with the r9 270x

Maybe you do want to concider getting a hard drive, SSD's have limited space so getting a HDD might come in handy, but this...

also, I dont like razer alot, there are cheaper and better headphones out there imo (I've had some bad experiences with razer product giving in after a year, especcialy the mice) please note that this is only my opinion, I never used a razer headset before, it's your choice, it might actually be a good headset!

and comming back to the cpu cooler part, someone sugested me a Scythe Grand Kama Cross 2 the other day, it's a little bit more expensive(not to much, I think it's around $35) and this cooler also cools the surrounding parts, like RAM and such.

and yes this PC will be more powerfull then your laptop

I hope this has been helpfull!

Thanks! Well, with the HDD, I have a external 2TB hard drive that I store everything on. I just put games that I'm playing on my SSD. I have a program called "Steam Mover" that moves games from my HDD to my SSD (and visa versa), so when I want to play a specific game I transfer it over and get the speed of the SSD. Also with Razer, I've heard a lot of good things about them. I currently have a headset that works just fine, but it's in shitty condition. I have part of it held together with glue and a popsicle stick....It's Turtle Beach, so I should of expected shitty quality. I may or may not get the Razor, I don't know. Also, I just found out that my dad has a spare copy of Windows 7, so I can put that money into something else for the PC. Or I may just keep it as is, and save the money. Not sure.

maybe you can get a gtx 770 or a r9 280(x), should give you a more future proof system
