I'm using a lenovo laptop, just got it less than a year ago. Other discs work in the drive, but when I try this particular disk it doesn't work...so my first thought was the disc is broken so i threw it in a different computer and it worked!! So what is going on its 's driving me absolutely crazy. When I put the disk In my computer it doesn't recognize that there is even a disc in there at all, when i find the drive in my computer and double click it, just tells me to insert a disc.......Please Help

Then I would say, on a different machine, create an ISO of that DVD.
Then burn another DVD from that ISO. See if it works on your target PC>

I've seen that before. Some disks will work on PC a, but not PC b. Just because.

its not a burnt disc...I bought a tascam audio interface for music recording, and it happened to come with a recording software called Cubase LE6 OEM version. it's a DVD-ROM disc made by a company called steinberg

On a PC that does read this disk:
Whatever DVD burning software there is should allow the option of 'create ISO from disk'
Do that.
Then, it should also allow the option of 'burn DVD from ISO file'
Do that

Why? However that original disk was created is apparently not compatible with the other PC
Re-burning it might get around that issue.

OK....lets back up about 8 steps.
What exactly are we trying to get to work? What software, where did the disk come from, what platforms are we doing this on...all that jazz.
