Hi,

About 5 months ago I purchased an Asus Z87A Motherboard and it worked great until one day I started having issues with the internal clock not keeping time, i.e. if I set it for 8 a.m. I come back 3 hours later the time is still within 8 a.m. I replaced the CMOS battery and ran multiple virus scans to no avail. Eventually the issue progressed from just wrong time to programs not installing due to not enough RAM but I have 16GB installed.

Now, I know in the title I mentioned the Asus Z97 Pro but I've only talked about the Z87A so far... about 3 weeks ago I was fed up with the issues with the Z87A and went out and bought the Z97 Pro; installed it, reinstalled windows ect. ect. It worked perfectly up until this morning and now I'm having the same problems from the Z87A on this Z97 Pro which is not even 3 weeks old.

Is there a diagnostics program I can run to help find the root of the problem because at this point I'm doubting that its a hardware issue? And/Or has anyone heard of this that can offer a solution.

Thanks.

I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
The rest of my build can mostly be found at the link below. The only thing I didn't add was the case and the SSD/HDD because I didn't feel like browsing through the list to find the exact ones. The RAM listed is close to what I have.

No to messing with the time. And yes to latest drivers.

How do I check that? I reset all the time settings back to default so it should be automatic.
