The ethernet cable that brings in internet is plugged into router with another ethernet cable connecting to computer. On the desktop it says the network is connected, but opening a browser says no internet. Anything connecting wirelessly has the same issue. The computer is running Windows XP and the ISP for this location has a static IP. I put the same static IP information from the ISP for the computer in the router configuration. I hope this is enough info, thank you in advance for helping.

There is a small box on the wall and the ethernet cable that has internet comes out of it. Unfortunately I don't know how it works other than there's an antenna that picks up the internet signal.

I ended up calling my ISP and we got it working right. It turns out they needed to allow the router to work with the system, a fact I wish I had known before asking online. Thanks for your help anyways.
