Hey everyone,

I've been lurking around Tom's Hardwares for a bit and had a question concerning pico-projectors. From what I can understand, these types of projectors are much more portable and uses an LED light source instead of a lamp.

My biggest concern is the brightness of picoprojectors because light is always leaking into my living room. I've been looking into the AAXA LED Android projector and saw this video that demos the projector during daylight and lights on:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7QjZLEPDj-M

In my opinion, the brightness in that video that would work fine for me as long as I turned off all the internal lights. What I want is a projector that I can take back and forth between my place and my girlfriend's apartments. We're both really into photography and watching movies together so having the Android OS on the projector seems like a pretty neat feature, especially considering that my girlfriend has a NetFlix account.

Anyone else got suggestions for different picoprojectors or should I invest in the AAXA LED Android?

Replying to Amei's post,

The Luxcine's Z2000SD does look promising! I'll be sure to check it out! But dang $600 is a little pricey, but might be worth the 1500 lumens. Is it really that bright?? I tried looking for videos on YouTube to see how it performs in daylight but couldn't find any. I also noticed it's native resolution is 720p but I'm not too concerned about that. I'm mainly concerned about the brightness of the projector since I mentioned that light always leaks into my living room.
