CPU Temperatures Normal?

Hey everyone,

I was wondering if my computer is running abnormally hot. I only use it when I'm home from school so I don't usually encounter any issues but today I was playing Transistor, which seems like a pretty mid range game, graphically, and noticed that my temps were incredibly high. This is also with turbo boost turned off, so my cpu should only be running at 2.4Ghz instead of 2.8Ghz.

Here's an image:

I realize there's already a lot of information out there saying intel chips are fine up to 100 degrees; I'm not as much worried about the chip as much as worried that perhaps my fans might not be working correctly or something of the sort. I just have never seen temps this high before.

More about : cpu temperatures normal

Mobile CPUs have very high heat tolerances. The temps are not an immediate concern, however if they are too hot for your liking make sure you game on a desk and/or invest in a laptop cooler. For example my Mac (hold judgement please) cpu runs at 95+ when gaming and hasn't had any problems after 2 years.

The max temps are under load, while playing Transistor.

Ok, glad to know that someone else out there experiences these ridiculous temps too. That was what I was looking for. I probably am just going to deal with it since I rarely use my laptop for gaming. Thanks for the reply.
