I was able to connect to my office computer from my home computer until a week ago when it mysteriously stopped working. I also can not connect with my laptop which is running Win 8.1.( I previously could. The are both running Avast antivirus. However I still can't connect even when I shut off the antivirus. I get a message saying there are no remote connection licenses available for this computer. My system administrator can't figure this out.

If you are running Windows XP or newer OS (Windows based), remote desktop connection should be able to connect (as long as you can ping the IP Address of the computer).

Are you using VPN software to gain access to the computer (i.e. Logmein Hamachi, Cisco VPN client, etc....)?
