Which temp reading does it use? Do I need to account for the difference when setting a fan profile? Thanks.

Mine seems to be identical to my package temp. I'd say you probably don't need to adjust for a fan profile as the package temp tends to range higher and stay there longer so as far as staying on the safe side of things it should be fine.
