Sapphire Radeon R9 290 Tri-X vs Gtx 780

I need to know which is the best for gaming.. including mantle which seems to be great with AMD based games such as bf4, ac4, etc..
I really need to know because there is a big price gap between those two.. im currently leaning for the R9 290 as my color scheme is yellow and it seems to be great..

Thanks and i plan to match the 290 with Gigabyte z97 udh5 bk and i5 4690k 4.2ghz

Yes there is a big price gap between a Nvidia and AMD card. But the Nvidia 780 is still better with a faster bandwidth and consumes less power. However in gaming, I would rather get a 290 as it is cheaper but it will consume more power which isn't much of a problem.

Mantle is tech that helps when you pair a strong GPU with mediocre CPU so will not do with your CPU selection.

Get the R9 290 because the Tri-X is the 2nd best cooler (Vapor-X being the 1st), and also because Nvidia's pricing is absurd

There's really only a couple/few Mantle games, BF4 and Thief are about it. AC4 is an Nvidia game with Nvidia exclusive settings, including PhysX. Here's a look at the PhysX effects in AC4 which would require the GTX 780 and can't be enabled on the 290.
