Constant BSODS + Freezing

I have been getting a DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE BSOD a ton recently after reinstalling my OS (WIndows 8 obviously). Typically this follows a power up from sleep mode, after which my computer freezes for a minute or so before going to BSOD.

Specs: ASUS M5a97, Sapphire vapor-x r9 280X, FX-8150.

The following is a link to (and for some reason the only) DMP files I have:

Thanks in advance for your help.

Note: sometimes you will not get a memory dump when it is your disk drive that will not power up. You will get one if the drive does not power down.
--------------
second bugcheck was the same as the first
system went to power down the drive while there was pending work to be processed.
I would think it is a bug in the driver.
look here for amd chipset driver
http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/M5A97_R20/HelpDesk_Download/
and select windows 8, find the correct version and install the driver update
I think it was dated 2013
-------
first bugcheck was in \SystemRoot\System32\drivers\amd_sata.sys

looks like a sleep bug in the driver.
I would update the CPU chipset driver from the motherboard...

I would update the CPU chipset driver from the motherboard website or directly from AMD website

it means one of your devices is not waking up from sleep mode.
I will look at your minidump and see if I can tell which one.
most often you will have to update drivers from your motherboard manufacture, or change or update a BIOS setting, or disable sleep for the device.
