laptop stuck on restart screen cant do anything push the power button down for 5 -10 seconds all the lights go off then press power again and it goes straight to restart and thats it

tried that, and after putting battery back on still came up "restarting" after hours of waiting it started saying configuring windows and after about another hour it turned off and
then I started it as normal I don't like windows 7-8 , and I think what started it was ,I was trying to do a disk clean up 4.889 gig worth and it froze up so I canceled it and then tried to restart it,, this is where it began so I think that canceling a disk clean up of that size really messed it up so windows 7-8 thumbs down from me
so the solution is leave it running it will sort it self out ,, very hard for some impatient woman lol
