Hey guys.
I currently have 2 HDD and 1 new ssd.
The hdd are from my old rig in which I put them in the new rig.
One of the HDDs (the one which the OS is not in it) always had a problem. I don't know what. But Windows and other softwares always warned me about it. I didn't really pay attention to it. Ignoring it mostly.
Once I got the new rig and the new SSD. I wanted to install a fresh new windows in the SSD. And I did so. The problem is whenever I boot from the new ssd. Upon booting it starts to repair the damaged hard drive I told you about. It actually doesn't say which hard drive it is repairing but I am sure It is the damaged one. Whenever I unplug the two HDDs (I unplug both of them because they look the same. can't tell which one is the damaged one) the OS in the ssd boots up completely without a problem. The problem is Even if I wait forever It won't fix the damaged HDD. It stucks at 0%. I am currently using my old OS in one of the hdds (the one that wasn't damaged and got os on it). I tried fixing the Hdd from that but it doesn't work either. It stuck at 2%.
I don't want to keep using this old OS in the old HDD. I want to use a fresh OS on the new rig. although I installed the new rig drivers on it I am still not satisfied with it. How ever some folks suggested reinstalling it before using it. I am not planning on using it anyway.
So any idea how Should I fix the HDD or at least skip the fixing process before booting?
It tells me this:
Scanning and repairing Drive /?//volume{xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx}// 0% complete

First off, work out which is the damaged drive. Boot up with the SSD and only one drive installed to work it out, then put a little mark on it so you don't forget. I would then try cloning the drive onto a new HDD and see if that fixes the problem.

try formatting it and see if it works any better, otherwise turf it. i bought a brand new 3tb 7200rpm drive for $129 after mine started giving errors. it was a small price to pay to remove any risk of losing all my info/games and all the hassle it caused me.

Well I think I am buying a new HDD and putting all the data in the new one and throw away the damaged one. Although the damaged one works just fine. Still...For a temporary solution..
any Idea how can I skip the repairing?
