The OEM that made it is Channel Well Technology Aka CWT. The reason why its not good is because its made with cheap parts. It has ONE japanese capacitor a Panasonic made one but only rated for 85c not 105c. The rest are cheap not so good Taiwanese or Chinese capacitors! Point is they are not suited to any kind of mid or high end gaming rig. In short, the OEM that Corsair used for that model used cheap parts and an iffy platform for its manufacture. It's not a system-killer by any means, but you can do much better elsewhere for only a small increase in price. (xfx/seasonic/rosewill/evga)

If you really want corsairs PSU go with TX series, much better option

That is a great choice so if you ever want to upgrade to any degree you will still have plenty to work with. Is that the corsair power supply by the way, if it is excellent choice, if not, consider buying one

No JohnHun, if you want to upgrade your pc and some poin in the future you will need more than 500w PSU (would suggest 650w at least), and no DON'T buy corsair PSU... I mean you can but not CX series because they are poorly made. TX and AX are very good

best PSU brands = seasonic/xfx/evga/rosewill
