Have recently built my multi purpose pc which I plan to use for both gaming and music video media hub. Please give opinions on my capabilities with any cheap alteration suggestions.

Intel i5 2500k cpu
Dual radeon HD 6870 Zaire gpu
Asus p8z68-v pro leave 1155 mobo
8gb ram
1000 antec modular psu
Corsair air 540 case

The PSU is an overkill you would only need a 500W. If you have a budget I can get a better one.

How much is each part costing you and what country are you in? The PSU seems wrong and the GPU seems an odd choice but without pricing or country information I can't put it all into context. Also, what is your budget?

Budget sub £70 would be good. With scope for expansion. I'm in the UK and have acquired all my parts second hand.

Using ocz ssd also

Maybe get a cooler like the coolermaster hyper evo 212 to overclock the processor?
A 1tb mechanical storage drive like a Western Digital Caviar Blue?

Second hand explains the eclectic selection of parts ;)

Zaire should have read crossfire above. I will be adding a blue ray drive and hdd also. So far parts have cost me around £250 with case, psu, hdd, optical drive still to buy. I just want to run as many new games as possible at best possible res

I wouldn't like to spend more than £200 for remaining components. If this is doable??

But you've listed a case and PSU in your first post, I'm confused!

£60 is a fair price, they are by no means top end cards any more but will be OK at medium settings.

The graphics cards are a 6 the rest is an 8 something like that. But for £60 for both you won't have been able to get anything better without spending a lot more money.

I say build it and if it plays well enough for you then that's great. If you're disappointed with the performance then sell the cards on eBay and get a single, more powerful card like an r9 270x

Yes of course you can, happy to help. You've done well sourcing those parts at very good prices and that processor will last a good while yet :)

Again thanks a little guidance an reassurance is massive in a world continually evolving an improving so once system is up and running my graphics card would be the place to start improvements.

Yes but only if you are unhappy with its performance, it all depends on your monitor, game setting and type. See how it goes :)
