I am making a gaming pc on a very low budget. After some searching i selected the following parts.
1- AMD 4300FX
2- Gigabyte GA-78LMT-s2pT Rev 4.x
3- Seasonic SS 400BT(30 Amps on single +12V Rail)
4- WD Blue 1TB
5- Kingston Hyperx Fury 2x4 GB RAM 1600MHz
6- Samsung/Dell 18.5 Inch monitor(both are similarly priced)

I want to fit an external HDD in my budget as i really need one. I planned on buying a gtx750Ti. If i do that, i need to wait long before i can get an external HDD (some personal reason). But if i choose gtx750 1gb ddr5, i can afford to buy one. Mostly i want to play latest games on High / Ultra at 1366*768 resolution. I checked reviews on net but those were on 1080p monitors and everyone seem to be loving 750Ti.

So my questions are,
1- Can i skip the 750Ti for 750 as per my requirement or i will be in a loss?
2- Can anyone give a better suggestion from his/her experience?

Thank You for your time and advice! ;D

You need to upgrade your mobo just a little bit, the 's2' version seems a bit better than the 's2pt' one.

Definitely go for the 750 Ti model, it's extremely power efficient...somwthing which you will need since you are building a budget pc.

Here's Tom's review for budget GPUs, have a go.

Thanks for the information on the motherboard. :)  Didn't knew that!
I want to buy 750Ti but if i do that, i need to w8 long before i can buy an external HDD which i really need.
Btw how big is the performance difference between 750Ti and 750 in 720p gaming?

Better go with intel i3(like 4130). Much better for gaming. Take some cheap asrock 1150 mobo. Also, don't go with WD hdd's. Too loud, performance isn't good either. Had blue/black all were cracking. Go with Seagate (like st1000vx000). It's silent and temps are better. Performance is better too.

Better go with 750ti. Smoke/effects can cause lags in latest games with 750 even at 1366/768.

Here, http://www.anandtech.com/show/7764/the-nvidia-geforce-g...

And as for buying an external hdd, you need to prioritise. If you already have an older gfx card then you should wait till you can buy 750Ti.

And remember, you cannot definitely overclock anything in this motherboard, it barely supports the FX series processors. Do not stress the motherboard, it is not meant for gaming. WIthout VRM (overheat protection if you will), the parts will simply overheat and throttle your processor.

the i3 is out of my budget. At my place it costs like 35$ more than FX4300. Thanks for the information about the Hard Drive. :D

Dont have an older card. My old pc Pentium D805 / Asus combo died after 7 years. I think the mobo died not the processor but aint using that anymore (Waste of money i think) and some remaining lga775 mobos are ridiculously high priced idk why.
I dont plan on overclocking. Just wanna play games on high/ultra cause some of my friends do and they are richer. I wanna match upto them in a tight budget. ;D;D;D

I understand :)

AMD processors are much cheaper than the intel ones, better suited for casual gamers like me who are on a tight budget.
I would invest in a good PSU like Corsair CX430, get a motherboard like ASUS M5A78L-M/USB3 since this is the best budget motherboard for FX processors. I would also get a 500GB hdd to save some cost if I am already buying another external hdd for more space :)

Thank you for your valuable information. I took some of your suggestions. Will get that asus motherboard, 500gb hdd and a gtx 750ti. Will have to w8 long for the external hd.......damn cant make up mind. Ok this this final. f*** 750ti AND welcome asus mobo, 500gb hdd, 750 and external 1tb...........YEAH!! Will get better card when i have money. 750 wont be that far from 750Ti anyways...or does it?:??:  damn nvidia....why would you give so many options...:fou:

Can you wait till September? AMD will slash the price of FX-6300 to $100 and that will be the best budget gaming processor discounting intel.

Depends upon the number of monitor and the resolution you are using.

If it's a single monitor with resolution say 1280 * 720, a 1 GB gfx card would just be fine. But if you want to use dual/triple monitors with 1080p resolution, you have to use 2 GB cards since they will take up more than 1.5 GB of VRAM at least.

Hope this helps :)
