WOW! Uhmmm I dunno where your shopping but you need to stop immediately.l The 240 was released 5 YEARS ago, and the 540 4 years ago, so no it doesn't play any games like your asking for?!?! I am guessing your seeing this prices because these are some $25 GPUs or such? If you can't afford the normal $200+ for a GPU, then you shouldn't be buying any PC parts, you will NOT get anywhere near the 'BANG' for the 'BUCK' and you will find it too costly otherwise.

For best 'bang' for the buck on such a low end budget, I would suggest a PS3 for $150, and CAN always play ANY title you find on the shelf (aka you won't take it home and your 'computer' won't say it can't play it) including the newest 2014 titles (VERY surprised!!!).
I am sorry to say neither one of these will play the games you listed well. they are below the low spec listed for both games. THat is far cry 1 i listed you might be ok for the newer far cry 2/3/4 no way. I have a 240 and it was even with 9600GT it was ok in old games but will fail with any game in the last 8 years or so. You might get by with low lowlow settings but will look awful.

B4
512 MB AMD Radeon HD 3870 / NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT or better

Far Cry
DirectX 9.0b compliant video card with 64 MB RAM (GeForce2+ / Radeon 8500+)

tom, yea you are right i cant afford 200 usd.. better choise ps3 and this 5 years old released card is better than nothing for me :p cuz i cant even play online game like red crucible it laggs ablot in my pc, i have 1.3 ghz core 2 duo with 1 gb ram.. this 5 years old card might help me to run red crucible game online without lagg.. hopefully

That CPU and RAM will also cause you issues. 1.3 core 2 duo and 1 gig is about half of the speed you want for games.

Just spend $100-150 on a faster used computer, many people sell them with decent video card if you look around. A Core 2 Duo in the 2.6 gig + range is OK for some gaming, with 4 gig of RAM. Spending money to upgrade that CPU is a waste, including getting a faster video card.

Make sure anything you can find has a tower case and a decent power supply in the 300 watt range if you are looking for gaming specs. 250 watt may work in a pinch but you will be limted to the slowest video cards in that case.
