Can I record myself with a webcam whilst recording gameplay using my elgato on my PC?

I want to be able to record myself to capture facial reactions and speech, whilst recording the screen (playing a game).
Is this possible because I would like to do this with a new gaming PC and a monitor with a built in webcam.
The monitor has the webcam built in which records me and my elgato will record the screen
My question is, Is this possible to do simultaneously?

Yeah your PC will handle it fine, not sure why you put down $450 on CPU and RAM and then only $150 on GPU, but yes you can record your gameplay and your reactions just fine.

Im sure someone on here can point you to a good video editing software to be able to put those two feeds side by side in a video file and attempt to sync them. I have only dipped my toes into using Adobe Premier so my knowledge in that specific area is minimal.

Its two seperate programs doing two very different things, one is recording the output from your video card to your tv, and one is recording video from a webcam. Shy of you having a low end PC that is struggling greatly just to play the game, there is no reason why you could not do both of these things.

So is that saying, it is possible. The computer is a high end gaming PC. To put it short - Quad Core i7 3.6Ghz
16GB RAM
Nvidia Geforce GTX 750 Ti 2GB graphics card

Thank you so much for the answer. Great to know. The reason was that upgrade the GPU to the next level added on so much more money and reviews said it wasn't worth it. The next level that reviews said that it was worth it added 100's of £'s
