Hey guys!

I'm in the neighborhood for a few new parts for my build, and or maybe even the rest of it. Currently I'm rocking a reman HP Pavillion Elite with Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit, AMD Phenom II x6 2.7GHz, 8GB Ram (Link: Computer). So far I have upgraded the GPU to a ASUS Radeon HD 7770 (Link: GPU) and I have upgraded the PSU to a Apevia 700W (Link: PSU).

I'm mostly interested in a CPU and a Motherboard, but I'm also looking at cases. As long as hardware is compatible the current plan is to use hardware from old pc on the new build until I can get the rest.

As far as budget is concerned I'm being a little flexible but I'm trying to stay around $300ish for CPU + Mobo. The case I'm not too picky of. I've not opposed to a cheap $50 case as long as I have room for expansion drives.

Anyway, if I have left any info out (which I'll bet I did lol) let me know and I can post it up. Otherwise, thanks for reading!

Edit: This is a budget gaming build. I usually play MMO's but I bounce between all sorts of genres and different games all the time.

I would not necessarily look to upgrade the CPU unless you have a strong reason to do so beyond just getting something new. Obviously newer chips are better and more powerful, but the old Phenom line is still a really great set of chips, and especially with an X6 you pretty much have the horsepower you need to do most anything a typical user will throw at their system. Which is not to say that a new CPU wouldn't be better because it would be, but what you have is a solid CPU that will still perform well unless you specifically want to push in a certain direction.

Ok, thanks for the info, Tiny Voices. It was recommended to me to pick up a bigger PSU when I bought my GPU so I just got a cheap one. Shoulda did my homework lol.
