What is your screen resolution? What power supply and motherboard do you have? Do you have the 4GB or the 2GB version of the 270X?

Depending on your answers it might make sense to get a second 270X for CrossFire.

What power supply do you have? You might need to upgrade it in order to upgrade the GPU.

650w is just a number. Means nothing without brand and series to go along with it.

A decent upgrade for the price is the r9 290 or gtx 780. (assuming your PSU is strong enough...)

It'll still be a nice upgrade from a 1gb 7850.

I would like to go nvidia but the 780 is way too expensive

The r9 290 performs around the same area if not slightly better than the gtx 780 and cheaper. It does run quite a bit warmer though. Something to consider as an alternative and if it's within your budget range. If not, then the r9 280x would, again, still be a nice decent upgrade.
