Least headache would be to just get a 2 stick kit of whatever overall ram size you want that'll run in dual channel.
The other option is to buy the other stick to match whatever specs that your current one has. Preferably an identical stick of the same model and what not. This only gives your system 2 sticks of ram, it doesn't mean it'll run in dual channel.

So you got 2 slots in total? And 1 is currently occupied right? If that's the case just get an identical model of stick you currently own. Don't go with different MHz or manufacturer or CL.
