Hi,

I've recently spilled some water in my PC tower, screen froze and I switched the computer off, turned off the power and unplugged the power cable. I didn't see any smoke.

I opened the case, put a fan on it, wiped some drops of water away, but when I tried to restart, it didn't turn on. After some trial and error I found out that I could only turn if on if my GPU wasn't connected to the PSU.

I have a gigabyte gtx 770 oc windforce 3x 2gb, which requires 2 cables. a 6+2 PCI and a 6 pin. When I plug in the 6 pin, the computer boots, but ofc the video card does not. When I put in the 6+2 (doesn't matter if 6pins is connected or not) the CPU fan moves for like half a second when I turn the PC on, then it stops.

Could the problem be related to the PSU or is it the GPU? And is there any hope?

Get a huge bag of rice and place it all in a large ziploc baggy, and place the GPU on (in? I forget) the rice. I think you place it in the rice. Leave it in there a few days, and take it out and try it out.
