Spilled water on GPU

Hi,

I've recently spilled some water in my PC tower, screen froze and I switched the computer off, turned off the power and unplugged the power cable. I didn't see any smoke.

I opened the case, put a fan on it, wiped some drops of water away, but when I tried to restart, it didn't turn on. After some trial and error I found out that I could only turn if on if my GPU wasn't connected to the PSU.

I have a gigabyte gtx 770 oc windforce 3x 2gb, which requires 2 cables. a 6+2 PCI and a 6 pin. When I plug in the 6 pin, the computer boots, but ofc the video card does not. When I put in the 6+2 (doesn't matter if 6pins is connected or not) the CPU fan moves for like half a second when I turn the PC on, then it stops.

Could the problem be related to the PSU or is it the GPU? And is there any hope?

Why on earth would you restart your PC with water on the gpu? You have to completely dry it out for a week or so.
I won't be superised if it is completely dead

Try the gpu in a different system if possible.Maybe from a friend or .. Make sure it's dry of course.
Can try a gpu from a friend as well,if this gives nothing as well could the psu be a problem.Trying a different psu would be the other possibility when checking that.
