First off thank you for your time and any help. Im a noob when it comes to pc building and im afraid i have learned that the hard way.
So problem is my PC will freeze up randomly during gaming mostly but it has done so during browsing as well. It completely Freezes up and im unable to use the mouse/keyboard or cntrl/alt/del nothing other than hitting the power button fixes the problem. I have tried re-applying thermal paste, reseatting all my hardware making sure everything was plugged in, put in an extra fan just in case, deleting old gpu drivers reinstalling new ones(340.52) and rollingback to previous driver(337.88). I have scanned and rescanned my comp for viruses using Ad-aware Pro. I use cpu-z, gpu-z, amd overdrive, coretemp, passmark all to monitor the computer, i also have aerotouch 2100 with 5 temp probes scattered throughout the interior of the computer. Never seen any crazy high temps during idle or load on any of the components: amd overdrive idle temp 52.6cthermal margin, coretemp idle temp is 19c. Under loads ie games/stress test: amd overdrive 25c thermal margin, coretemp 34c. If i am missing any needed info plz let me know.

Computer Specs:
Windows 8.1 Pro 64 bit

PNY 223gb SSD, windows installed on this
Samsung Evo 500gb SSD
WD 596gb
HL-DT-ST dvdram gh24ns90 CD drive

Is it possible im still having heating issues? i mean all the monitoring software says its good but it seems like the freezing happens more often the longer its on, when it first turn it on it can go 1-2 hrs maybe, then 20-40m, then 5-10 ish. im testing a theory i put it on my desk and opened up the side and put my floor fan right next to it blowing directly into the case. we will see if this changes anything.

does it tend to be a memory problem when freezing happens? i have tried running the system with just 8g, the original 8g that i purchased first then the second set of 8g both of them seperately and it still freezes

As listed above, I would run memtest86+ as long as you can. I have had many an idle/game crash with memory overclocking gone wrong.

Please use cpu-z to confirm you memory is actually operating at or under its rated speed(check the voltage as well DDR3 has a standard of 1.5, if you need more, you will have to set it in the bios).

Since you have 2 video cards please ensure one is in the top x16 slot skip the next x16(it runs at x8 anyway) slot and use the 3rd one(runs @ x16 with only 2 cards).

It would be worth trying the cards one at a time to see if it helps.

You power supply should be more than enough, but defects happen so if each card checks out, you may have to look into testing another power supply.

Use something like GPU-z to ensure the gpu temps are normal under load.

2 sticks of memory tends to be more easy on the system and can be tested in A2 and B2(skip the slot next to the cpu use the second slot and the last slot)

The pci-e slot and memory information is in your board manual.

I know it is a pain, but it will take some time to try to get to the bottom of this issue.

i realize it will be a pain but i appreciate the help:) i constantly monitor all the temps and workings of all my hardware accept my PSU. my memory is running at 1333 by my mobo default. not 100% sure how to change it cause when i go into bios i can bump it up to 1600 but from what i read i need to adjust voltage/timings and other things i know nothing about. cpu-z, gpu-z, coretemp, amd overdrive, and corsair link are always running and they always show me in the green as far as temps and hardware workings go, at least from what i can tell. i will try to remove one of the vid cards to start and ty tons for your responses, i really appreciate the help cause i have spent too much on this thing to let it burn up or have it destroyed by a fit of rage.

so when looking at CPU-Z more closely under the SPD tab, the timings table shows different values for JEDEC #1-#4, cas lat, ras# to cas#, ras# precharge, tras, trc all show different values. command rate is blank all the way across and the voltage is 1.5 for all slots in all columns

The lower speeds have tighter timings.

1.5 volts is the standard for memory. If you have an XMP profile it would generally be the fastest the memory is rated for.

Normally you only need to mess with the speed first 4 timings(ie 1333 9-9-9-20) and voltage(not applicable for 1.5 volt chips). Truth be told at 1333 chances are the board is just taking the timings out of the table for 667 or its closest match anyway.

The command rate is generally set to T2 for 4 sticks and T1 for 2 sticks. This is not to say some systems/memory setups will not do 4 sticks with T1

I just wanted to cover more possible ideas.

in cpu-z on the memory tab under the timings section. dram frequency 668.9, fsb:dram 3:10, cas# latency 11.0 clocks, ras# to cas# delay 11 clocks, ras# precharge, 11 clocks, cycle time 28 clocks, bank cycle time, 33 clocks

Try setting to 1600 and proper timings to spec, CR (command rate/timing to 2T or 2N the alph designator doesn't matter, some use T others use N), DRAM voltage to + 0.05 over spec and raise the CPU/NB Voltage to about 1.25, that's your MC (memory controller voltage) - AMD CPUs don't really like 4 sticks and need a little extra boost)

ran memtest a second time last night and still no errors, watching youtube videos seems to cause my system to freeze but i have had times where youtube was not running and my comp still froze, last night i went almost 4hrs without a freeze

so before i removed a video card i was googling some stuff and i checked my task manager, i ended something called search protect, java updater, and Verzeichnisüberwachung und Hilfsaufgaben für die Medienbibliothek(what ever the hell that is) between doing that and not going to youtube i have been freeze free for 8 hrs

i dont want you to think im not taking any of your advice because i am and i am extremely grateful for your time i just figured i would try smaller fixes first. and outta curosity why is this showing as solved?
