I am wanting to connect my WD Elements 3 TB USB 2.0 (WDBAAU0030HBK) to a LG Smart TV with USB port and a Netgear Router with USB port. I am going to have internet shut off, but I can still send signal through router to my bedroom where I have a MINIX NEO X7 Android device to watch TV. Can this be done with a USB Hub? Look in Amazon for this ( AmazonBasics 4-Port USB 2.0 Ultra-Mini Hub ). (Just an idea). Any help will be greatly received. Thanks.

Solution
No. A hub turns 1 input into 4 inputs for a computer, it does not turn 1 output into 4 outputs for a usb device.

If your TV is a smart TV then why cant it access the media over your network when plugged into the router?

If nothing else you should be able to use DLNA to stream whatever you want from the router to the TV.
