I just got a new case for my PC and im not able to connect to the internet using my half length mini card. All i get is a red X where my internet connection should be. How do i fix this?

Solution
Are you sure there was not a white and black wire hooked up to the card when it was in the original case?? Those wires are the antenna leads, sometimes the antennas are embeded into the case (just like how they are hidden behind your laptop screen) so you wont actually see a dipole antenna in your case.

The 95% likely chance is that the old case had those antenna wires and the new one does not. I have diagnosed a few laptops where those cables come unpluged; when they do the laptop has to be in arms reach of the router to get a 2-3 bars of signal, move 5 ft away in the same room and you are lucky to get a signal at all, add a wall or a floor to that and you get nothing.

If you have a drill then just take off a PCI slot cover in the...

The motherboard is an MSI 7778 (JASMINE) And I have no antennas but have been using it with no problems until now. Also as for drivers The only thing i did was transfer parts from my prebuilt case to the new one which means that shouldn't. Be necessary right?

If you have a drill then just take off a PCI slot cover in the back and you can install these:

Now if you do online gaming, wifi is just not good enough for that. You would be better off with a 500-600mbps powerline adapter that plugs into an outlet near your router and an outlet near your desktop and then you just plug ethernet cables from the adapter to the computer/router. If you can plug them into an outlet on the same wall then the outlets might be connected on the same power wire which is even better.
