I have had to install my copy of Windows 7 Professional several times on the same computer. It will shut down when I try to update to sp1. Now when I am reinstalling again, I get error message that the product key is invalid. I have checked and rechecked the correctness of the key, still no good. What can I do now.

Contact Microsoft or buy a new key. I would try Microsoft first(support on licensing issues is free).
