Hi all,

I want to use a Belkin 3oo mbps router on second floor and want to inrease the range to 1st and 2nd floor as well.. Please help me with options. Is there any wired devices available which I can connect with my router or are there any wireless device available in market?

Solution
If you want to extend it as cheap as possible without any concern for performance (and often reliability) then go with a repeater.

Otherwise you should get a second router and configure it as a wireless access point.
If you can not run an ethernet cable from the second router to the primary one then the next best thing is the powerline adapters Shaun o was taking about. A 500-600mbps one can be found for $40 on amazon (i believe tp-link makes a decent one in that price range).

Since you have a multi story home unless it is 800sqft per floor, then I doubt just upgrading your belkin would give you whole-house coverage, thus you will need 2 routers/access points to provide coverage.

EDITED: FYI: Any router can be turned into an access...

Easiest thing to do is buy a Wi-Fi range extender/repeater.

Or you can use a power line adapter kit.
One goes into a wall and connects to one of the Ethernet ports of your Belkin router.
The other power line adapter can be plugged in anywhere on the mains circuit.
You can either use a Ethernet cable from the other power line adapter placed in the same room, or with dual type power lines they provide a Wi-fi access point to the Belkin.
If in the same room you should get about 95% signal strength from the wi-fi.

EDITED: FYI: Any router can be turned into an access point. A router does all the functions necessary to allow multiple devices to connect to each other and to the internet connection. An access point does no routing/addressing functions it is just using its wifi and wired ports to allow more computers to connect to an already created network.
